It's here! It's finished! It's ready for you to listen!
The Wurtz-Berger Duo is pleased to announce our new album, Touching Rapture. We have been hard at work on this album for the better part of two years, recording, editing, designing, and producing this album, and it is now ready to go out into the world.
Touching Rapture contains four powerful works for cello and piano:
Alex Shapiro: Of Wood and Touch
Tina Davidson: Hum
Amy Wurtz: Chambers
Laura Elise Schwendinger: Rapture
We are very excited to release this music into the world and will be doing it in two waves: the physical release on 3/24/24 at 3 pm Epiphany Center for the Arts, where you can pick up a copy of the CD. . .
. . .followed by a celebration of the digital release across all streaming platforms (including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) which we will celebrate with food and drink at the Green Mill on Sunday, May 5, 4:00 pm. You're invited!
If you would like to get a physical copy of this powerful album, the best thing to do is to come to one of these two events, either 3/24/24 at 3 pm at Epiphany, or 5/5/24 at 4 pm at the Green Mill (or both!). You can also email me and I will mail you a copy, or you can purchase one here.
We are so grateful to Chicago's DCASE (Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events) for the grant they awarded us, making this project possible. We are fortunate to be in a city which supports and celebrates the arts and thank the folks at DCASE for their dedication and work.
